From Grief to Purpose: The Legacy of Organ Donation

After losing his wife, Cecilia, just days after the birth of their daughter, Alfonso Solis made a decision that changed multiple lives forever. By saying yes to organ donation, he transformed one of the darkest moments of his life into a legacy of hope for others. That experience not only helped save lives, but also became the foundation of his ongoing mission to serve families, educate communities, and encourage more people—especially in Latino communities—to learn the truth about donation and the power of giving life after loss.

A person who donates their organs upon death can save up to seven lives. This is the story of Alfonso Solís, a widower from Irving who gave the gift of life to others.
